the sun sautees me in flecks of scorched sand
hacked fresh by the feet of two well-cleavered hunks,
they chasing the arrow of some volleyball’s aerobics
toward the mark of the shore: they need high tide heroics
while overhead seagulls (suck meters of sky,
peck out the cirrostratus with shrieks)
